You may recognize him as "Racing's Regular Guy." For ten years, John Engelhardt hosted the informative and sometimes irreverent handicapping show from his base at River Downs in Cincinnati, Ohio. He developed a passion for thoroughbred racing as a youngster at Saratoga, and has been able to make his love of the sport his life's calling. Engelhardt, a native of Syracuse, New York is a graduate of the University of Dayton. His professional career in racing began as the track photographer at Beulah Park in 1983 and he has worked in racing ever since. John produced "The Stretch Run" for eight years, which aired on the CBS affiliate WCPO-TV in Cincinnati. For four years Engelhardt co-hosted "The Regular Guy Handicapping Show on HOMER 1530-AM in Cincinnati with former "Winning Ponies" host Ed Meyer. John served as the President of the Turf Publicists of America in 2009 and 2010, after serving several years as the Midwest Vice-President of that organization. He is currently a consultant for Pinnacle Entertainment handling publicity, public relations, marketing, advertising and special events for River Downs. Under the "nom-de-course" of Heart of an Angel Stable, he has bred and owned thoroughbreds for 18 years. "Racing's Regular Guy" has been exposed to racing on many levels and greets the sport with enthusiasm and well-rounded knowledge. Tom Brady 'hates' Peyton and Eli Manning's mom, former Giants star jokes

Tom Brady hates the Manning family. At least, that's how Eli Manning feels.

The former New York Giants quarterback, of course, beat Brady twice in the Super Bowl (XLII and XLVI). His older brother, Peyton, kept him from playing in three others after AFC Championship losses in 2006, 2013 and 2015. CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM

But the two-time Super Bowl MVP feels that Brady feels strongly about much more than just the quarterbacks that have kept him from five more rings. "He hates us. He hates my mom. If it weren’t for Olivia Manning, Tom would have like 12 Super Bowls probably," Manning said on Julian Edelman's "Games With Names" podcast. Brady has had to settle for "only" seven titles instead, but he's gone on the record saying that the 18-1 season still haunts him.

Plaxico Burress caught the game-winner with 39 seconds left in 2008, shortly after David Tyree's helmet catch, to win Super Bowl XLII, 17-14, while in Super Bowl XLVI, Ahmad Bradshaw, although reluctantly, found the end zone to give the Giants the 21-17 lead, which was the final score. Brady was sacked five times in Super Bowl XLII and twice in Super Bowl XLVI. Peyton Manning would go on to win two of the three Super Bowls he played in after taking down Brady. He did not defeat Brady en route to Super Bowl XLIV.

Brady will begin his quest for an eighth Super Bowl title on Sept. 11 when his Tampa Bay Buccaneers face the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.

Dolphins' Mike McDaniel brushes off Tom Brady tampering questions ahead of preseason game against Bucs

Last week, the Miami Dolphins were fined for tampering, as they attempted to get Tom Brady and Sean Payton down to South Florida.

Fittingly, the Dolphins' first preseason game is against Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this Saturday in Tampa, Florida.

However, head coach Mike McDaniel isn't even thinking about what occurred between the team and the quarterback years ago.

"For me, nothing happened," he told reporters on Wednesday.

McDaniel was asked if there was any awkwardness, but McDaniel insinuated that there was no such thing in his own locker room.

"Everyone else is the one making it awkward. It doesn’t occupy a single iota of space with anybody. It’s hard enough to be good in this league."

Dolphins team owner Stephen Ross has been in some heat lately, as former head coach Brian Flores also accused him of offering to pay him $100,000 for every loss the team had in the 2019 season.

DOLPHINS, TEAM OWNER STEPHEN ROSS FACE DISCIPLINE AFTER NFL'S GAME INTEGRITY PROBE

While the NFL's investigation did not find evidence of bribes, the league did find that Ross felt tanking was in the best interest of the team.

But McDaniel is focused simply on today's football and not even paying attention to the past.

"As the Miami Dolphins, all of our energy is very coordinated and only has to do with us getting better, and everything else would be an opportunity cost that we’re not willing to expend," he said.

The Dolphins, rather than acquiring Brady, drafted Tua Tagovailoa with the sixth pick in 2020. They stuck with Flores through last season.

Saturday will be the first meeting between the two quarterbacks in the NFL, as Tagovailoa was injured when the teams faced each other last season.
