So that was some speech last night, am I right? I think we have a clip. 

VIDEO Amazing. It was so upbeat. At least he didn't say MAGA, whew. PRESIDENT BIDEN: MAGA Republicans... MAGA Republicans do not respect the Constitution... MAGA forces... Extreme MAGA Republicans... The xtreme MAGA ideology... MAGA Republicans are... MAGA Republicans look at America and see carnage and darkness and despair. Carnage, darkness and despair. But enough about liberal-run cities. That was easy. But imagine if you replaced MAGA Republicans with China or Russia.  Then what a landmark speech in foreign policy this would be. It would be a call to arms against an evil empire. Except here, who's the evil empire? It's us. I wonder, as he stands here tonight, are equality and democracy under assault? REPUBLICANS MOCK ‘DEMAGOGIC’ BIDEN SPEECH ON THREATS TO DEMOCRACY WITH ‘BLOOD RED LIGHTING BACKDROP’ PRESIDENT BIDEN: As I stand here tonight, equality and democracy are under assault. And by what? A chuckle bucket president who shakes hands with his imaginary friends and believes every child's head is sacred and a playground for his nose. I wonder if too much of what's happening in our country today is not normal.  PRESIDENT BIDEN: Too much of what's happening in our country today is not normal. Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic. Yeah, things aren't normal. Soccer is still popular, and we have a deranged president channeling an exorcism. If his head spins, call Dr. Jill, she's a chiropractor. Yeah, I went to med school… OK, so the biggest threat to our democracy are Trump supporters.  But like when Larry Kudlow showed me his pole dancing videos, this is where it gets weird, because I wonder if not every Republican, not even a majority of Republicans, are MAGA Republicans.

PRESIDENT BIDEN: Not every Republican, not even a majority of Republicans, are MAGA Republicans... Not every Republican embraces their extreme ideology… I know because I've been able to work with these mainstream Republicans. Dude, make up what's left of your mind. First you say MAGA is the biggest threat ever. But then, you know, it's really not even a majority when you think about it. Then, you dumb***, why did you decide to come into millions of our living rooms last night and give a speech in front of a backdrop built by Lucifer and his union buddies?  It makes no sense. It reminds me of when his idiot press secretary said this earlier. BIDEN SAYS 'MAGA REPUBLICANS' THREATEN DEMOCRACY AS HE AND DEMS CRANK UP ANTI-TRUMP RHETORIC AHEAD OF MIDTERMS KARINE JEAN-PIERRE: When you ask me about the MAGA agenda... It is one of the most extreme agendas that we have seen... They are threatening political violence and they are attacking our democracy. But then she says this. KARINE JEAN-PIERRE: When we talk about the extremism, we're talking about a very small piece, a component of the American public. So, wow. It's good to know she was hired purely for her competence. Didn't tick any boxes there. So they want you to be a threat, but they have no evidence of it. Perhaps this is why the FBI admitted to padding the domestic violence extremist numbers.  They couldn't find the hate crimes, so they've got to make them up. But hey, I bet he believes America's at an inflection point. PRESIDENT BIDEN: I believe America is at an inflection point. One of those moments that determine the shape of everything that's to come after. And now America must choose to move forward or to move backwards... For a long time, we've told ourselves that American democracy is guaranteed, but it's not. We have to defend it.

Mmmm. Did he just draw a line? Be careful, Hunter might snort it. But again, he's drawing a line within America. He talks about rejecting violence and inflammatory language, but then cleaves the country in two with rhetoric.  He lectures Americans on violence after hiding in his basement like Chris Cuomo with COVID during months of rioting. He's such a lame duck, he should avoid Dick Cheney.  BIDEN SAYS 'MAGA REPUBLICANS' THREATEN DEMOCRACY AS HE AND DEMS CRANK UP ANTI-TRUMP RHETORIC AHEAD OF MIDTERMS So what's the point here? Well, this speech was a political call to arms, a feeble distraction that's trying to pit two groups against each other. He's basically Michael Vick and we're the pitbulls… And at the same time, he's claiming he's unifying. But I've seen more people brought together by leprosy. And that fact is, he doesn't just want to be a wartime president, he wants to be a civil wartime president... But the only thing he has in common with Lincoln is they're both brain-dead.  But Joe has a point. Maybe there is a side in this country that's a threat to democracy, and they use anger and violence when they don't get what they want.  They shut down free speech and debate every chance they get. They eliminate laws that are supposed to protect citizens.  They justify theft and vandalism and choose criminals' rights over victims' rights. They take the very agencies meant to protect us and use them against us. Those are all legit threats to democracy and it's not MAGA, ultra-MAGA or MAGA-lite with only 65 calories.

I remember reading about how presidents in trouble might start wars, but no one ever explained to below average Joe that he's not supposed to do it within our country. But then again, after seeing how he did in Kabul you'd understand why he might want to have a home game instead of going on the road. What say you, Joe? JOE BIDEN SKIT And so Antifa went from being an idea to being his idea. He made a wartime speech for Americans against Americans. I mean, this idiot had the White House, Senate, Congress, and yet his strategy is debate red-on-blue violence for political benefit. But you can't fall for this. They want you to take the bait, and you can't be like them.  CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP  That speech was supposed to be scary. Like how my mom said if I kept making faces, they would freeze like that. No. That's Botox. But the speech is more funny than scary, and you can't forget that. Remember, after every Trump speech or rally, the media's hair was always on fire.  You could see their flaming scalps from space. Meanwhile, people rioted and attacked Trump supporters. That's what they want you to do here. They want you to set your own hair on fire and you can't because your hair is too beautiful and your life is too much fun. 

So sit back and giggle at their desperate distractions. Come November, you may be the last one laughing.

Sputnik: The militant Arab nomads took back an oil field in eastern Syria from the Americans

According to IRNA's report on Friday from Sputnik news agency, citing local sources, these Arab nomads attacked one of the oil fields near Koniko Square in Al-Azia area in the northern suburbs of Deir Ezzor, after hours of fighting with the armed elements of the group known as "Syrian Democratic Forces". (QSD), were able to regain control of this oil field. According to these sources, this attack is due to depriving the people of the region of the resources of the oil fields and the looting of these oil resources by the American forces and armed people affiliated with them. According to Sputnik, a large armed group affiliated with the SDF militia, with the support of American fighters, is besieging the area and oil wells in the north of Deir Ezzor to take back the said oil field from the nomads. With the defeat of the terrorist group "ISIS" as the military arm of the United States in Syria in December 2016, the American forces directly replaced this group and from that time they began extracting and stealing Syrian oil instead of ISIS and continue killing the people of this country. . During the recent years, America in the West Asian region, especially in Syria, has become a scourge of people's lives and stolen their oil resources, an action that was carried out by the ISIS terrorist group before this. Americans brace for Biden decision on student loan waivers, payment pause

US President Joe Biden is set to announce his long-delayed move to forgive up to $10,000 in federal student loans for many Americans and extend a pause on payments to January, according to three people familiar with the plan. The people spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss Biden's intended Wednesday announcement ahead of time. The precise details of Biden's plan, which will include an income cap limiting the forgiveness to only those earning less than $125,000 a year, were being kept to an unusually small circle within the Biden administration and were still not finalised on the eve of the announcement. Down-to-the-wire decision-making has been a hallmark of the Biden White House but the particular delay on student loans reflects the vexing challenge confronting him in fulfilling a key campaign promise. The plan would likely eliminate student debt entirely for millions of Americans and wipe away at least half for millions more. Biden has faced pressure from liberals to provide broader relief to hard-hit borrowers, and from moderates and Republicans questioning the fairness of any widespread forgiveness.  The delay in Biden's decision has only heightened the anticipation for what his own aides acknowledge represents a political no-win situation.

Ballooning federal student debt The nation’s federal student debt now tops $1.6 trillion after ballooning for years.  More than 43 million Americans have federal student debt, with almost a third owing less than $10,000 and more than half owing less than $20,000, according to the latest federal data. The continuation of the pandemic-era payment freeze comes just days before millions of Americans were set to find out when their next student loan bills will be due. This is the closest the administration has come to hitting the end of the payment freeze extension, with the current pause set to end on August 31. Wednesday’s announcement has been set for the White House after Biden returns from vacation in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Biden was initially skeptical of student loan debt cancellation as he faced off against more progressive Democratic Senators Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders who had proposed cancellations of $50,000 or more, during the 2020 primaries. As he tried to shore up support among younger voters and prepare for a general election battle against then-president Donald Trump, Biden unveiled his initial proposal for debt cancellation of $10,000 per borrower, with no mention of an income cap.

Last minute push for bigger debt relief But Democrats, from members of congressional leadership to those facing tough re-election bids this November, have pushed the administration to go as broad as possible on debt relief, seeing it in part as a galvanising issue, particularly for Black and young voters this fall. Although Biden’s plan is narrower than what he initially proposed, Celinda Lake, a Democratic pollster, described student debt as a “gateway issue” for younger voters, meaning it affects their views and decisions on housing affordability and career choices.  However, John Della Volpe, who worked as a consultant on Biden’s campaign, said the decision was more about "trust in politics, in government, in our system ...” Republicans, meanwhile, see only political upside if Biden pursues a large-scale cancellation of student debt ahead of the November midterms, anticipating backlash for Democrats — particularly in states where there are large numbers of working-class voters without college degrees.  Critics of broad student debt forgiveness also believe it will open the White House to lawsuits, on the grounds that Congress has never given the president the explicit authority to cancel debt on his own. More than 10 million Americans under flood alerts Saturday

The majority of Arizona and New Mexico are under flood watches through Saturday night, leaving more than 10 million Americans on alert.

Several flash flood warnings were issued Saturday where consistent rains created life-threatening flooding. These warnings are generally in western Arizona, and over El Paso, Texas.

Another 1 to 3 inches of rain is possible in parts of Arizona and New Mexico -- mostly through Saturday, although some additional rain will still fall on Sunday.

The only way to break an extreme drought is by way of rain -- but when you get too much rain it can quickly become dangerous. In the case of parts of Texas, extreme drought may meet extreme rain in the coming days.

Much of Texas is expected to see days of rain this week, with the bulk of this rain falling Sunday to Wednesday. In the week ahead, anywhere from 1 to 10 inches is possible in parts of Texas.

While it is unlikely Dallas will see 10 inches of rainfall, it is interesting to note the city has only received 3.5 inches this summer, and only 13 inches this year -- putting it in a 10-inch deficit year-to-date compared to an average year.

Given the exceptional drought in Texas, more than 25% of the state is under watch for exceptional drought, the most critical drought possible.

Dry ground will act as concrete and if the rains come too quickly, flooding will occur. However, if the rain can take its time and allow the parches surface to slowly become porous again, it will be very beneficial without the life-threatening flooding.

The National Hurricane Center has given a 50% chance the tropical cyclone in the Gulf of Mexico will become a named tropical storm on Saturday. If named, it will be Danielle, the fourth named storm of the season, the first since Colin in early July.

This storm is expected to make landfall in Mexico early Saturday evening, just south of Texas, and bring life-threatening flooding to Mexico.

Southern Texas is expected to receive 1 to 4 inches of rainfall as far north as Corpus Christi. This may create issues with flash, urban and small stream flooding.

US warns of Al Qaeda retaliation against Americans after Zawahiri killing

Washington cautions Americans travelling abroad that militants could try to avenge Al Qaeda chief Ayman al Zawahiri's killing by launching suicide operations, assassinations, kidnappings, hijackings and bombings.

The United States has warned Americans travelling abroad they face an increased risk of violence after the US announced the killing of Al Qaeda chief Ayman al Zawahiri.

His killing in a drone strike in Kabul over the weekend dealt the biggest blow to Al Qaeda since the killing of Osama bin Laden in 2011, prompting US President Joe Biden to declare that "justice had been delivered."

Following the strike, the US State Department on Tuesday urged US citizens to "maintain a high level of vigilance and practice good situational awareness when traveling abroad."

"Current information suggests that terrorist organisations continue to plan terrorist attacks against US interests in multiple regions across the globe," the department said in a statement.

"These attacks may employ a wide variety of tactics including suicide operations, assassinations, kidnappings, hijackings and bombings."

Taliban condemns strike 

A senior official in the Biden administration said the 71-year-old Zawahiri was on the balcony of a three-story house in the Afghan capital when targeted with two Hellfire missiles after dawn Sunday.

It was the first known over-the-horizon strike by the United States on a target in Afghanistan since Washington withdrew its forces from the country on August 31 last year, days after the Taliban swept back to power.

The Taliban condemned the drone strike on Tuesday, but made no mention of casualties nor did they name Zawahiri.
