Kalhor: With the holding of the football federation elections, we will reach the shore of peace/ special reward awaits the history makers of Iran in Konya

According to IRNA, Sina Kalhor On Saturday, in an exclusive interview with IRNA, the vice president of culture and development of public sports explained the most important measures taken in the past one year in the Ministry of Sports and Youth.

In response to the timely payment of bonuses to athletes and medalists, in an exclusive interview with IRNA, Kalhor said: During the various periods of holding the Olympics and World Games, it was unprecedented that the bonuses of medal winners were paid in a very short space of less than 2 months, but this happened and even the payment of this bonus It put the ministry in hardship and hardship, but still, the ministry preferred to be under this hardship and hardship, but the rewards of the athletes were not delayed. Even later, the ministry was criticized in this regard, and it was even said that you used to divide the bonuses into pieces like in the past and give a part this year and another part the next year. In fact, the issue of timely payment of bonuses was not paid as much as it should have been; While it was a good thing. Getting the satisfaction of the medal winning athletes was very effective and in my opinion, it was one of the important events of the government and especially the Ministry of Sports and Youth during the past year.

The reward of the medalists was paid from the Ministry's funds

He added: As you know, the reward of the medal winners was paid from the ministry's credit and was not outside the ministry's credit. This means that the Ministry shifted its priorities and placed its main priority on the payment of bonuses. In the previous periods, taxes were deducted from the champions' bonuses, but for the first time, no taxes were deducted during the payment of the Olympic and World Championship bonuses. Another event that we witnessed in this field was the payment of a podium to the Deaf Olympic medalists. In addition, there was a change in the amount of reward for the deaf. In the past, deaf athletes received nearly 20% of the rewards of Olympians, but in this period, they received nearly 60% of the rewards, which was a serious change. In addition, during the games of the Islamic countries held in Konya, the athletes received both the cash reward at the foot of their platform and the reward that was intended for them. Another important thing happened in the women's section, especially in fields such as handball, which recently achieved success. Before the deployment, the athletes were paid a part of the bonus amounts that were considered as participation in a particular competition for a team. Although this reward may not be a high amount, it is unprecedented. In football, futsal and some other disciplines that had won medals, based on the framework and regulations and the type of medal won, it was decided to pay the bonuses on time. In fact, the considered procedure was to pay the bonuses to the athletes on time.

A special reward awaits Iran's history makers in Konya

In response to the question of whether there is going to be a special reward to honor the history of Elham Hosseini, the Iranian weightlifter and the women's national volleyball team of our country, who succeeded in winning a medal for the first time in the Games of Islamic countries, he said: Yes. We have considered special rewards for special events that happen especially in the field of women's sports. Of course, I must say that during the sending to the games of Islamic countries, special privileges and positions were considered for women. In this way, a special reward is considered for those who make the first occurrence, but considering that the amount of this reward has not been decided yet, I cannot announce its amount.

The main purpose of amending the statutes is to help the flow of sports justice

In response to the actions taken in the direction of the development of sports justice, the vice president of culture and development of public sports, relying on the amendment of the statutes of the federations, said: the statutes of the sports federations have tried to solve some of the issues and problems of the federations. However, during the almost 8 months since the statute came into force, there have been challenges. Three to four paragraphs of these statutes need to be amended, which is on the agenda and a draft of it is going to be sent. If this happens, we can achieve the necessary justice that must be achieved in sports fields, so that all the powers, privileges and facilities are not given to only a few sports fields and other fields are deprived. The main purpose of amending the statutes is to help other disciplines to promote sports justice.

Football Federation elections will be held, we will reach the shore of peace

Kalhor, who in order to support the national football team for a successful participation in the World Cup, on behalf of the Ministry of Sports, recently visited Qatar, the host country of the World Cup, said: the advantage of the trip to Qatar was that in the seven axes, the issues that the national team We presented football is facing it in written form and in the form of an official report to various institutions. Almost three to four main cases, including players' bonuses, arrears of coaches and technical staff members, as well as part of the issues related to the logistics of the national team, were resolved with the support provided by the Ministry of Sports and the government. These were urgent matters that caused severe dissatisfaction in the national team, but thank God they were resolved. A number of cases were related to the preparation of the team to participate in FIFA Day 2 (September). According to the latest news that I have, plans have been made, preparatory meetings have been finalized and a camp has been planned in one of the countries with suitable weather conditions (camp in Austria); All in all, the issues related to the preparations and preparations of the national team have been completed, and I think that if we hold the elections of the football federation and the federation recognizes its president, we will reach the shore of peace.

The price of the most expensive World Cup ticket is 6 million

The vice-president of culture and development of public sports of the Ministry of Sports had previously emphasized in an interview with IRNA that the Ministry of Sports is seeking to provide travel packages for football fans to Qatar with a cost of less than 20 million Tomans. In his subsequent interviews with other media, Keller announced the costs of 45 million tomans. In response to the question that the packages of the World Cup are finally going to be provided to the applicants, he said: The packages include three parts; The price of tickets, flights and accommodation. Of course, ignoring the cost of feeding. Currently, the price of the most expensive World Cup ticket sold in the country is 6 million Tomans, and currently the Football Federation is selling tickets for the same amount. But the matter of accommodation and plane is a matter of discussion. If a domestic airline is able to transport the spectators, our prediction is that the cost of the spectators' round trip to Qatar will be between 10 and 12 million tomans. In this case, the accommodation fee remains. Previously, it was supposed that the return of spectators to Qatar would be daily so as not to impose the cost of accommodation on the spectators. If this happens, it would be possible to go to Qatar at almost the same price range of 20 million tomans. We are still trying to make this happen. Just last 2 days, I talked with the friends of the Ministry of Roads and they are trying to implement the daily package for sending spectators. There is another issue and that is that our friends in Kish have introduced a package that apparently no steps have been taken to implement it. The goal of the friends was to make the World Cup spectators stay in Kish and leave for Qatar from this island. In this case, the cost of traveling to Qatar will be around 35-40 million Tomans. Therefore, if the steps are implemented, if the spectators go to Qatar for a one-day trip from Tehran, the cost will be about 20 million tomans, and if they go to the host country of the World Cup with a three-to-four night stay in Kish, the cost will be almost 40 million tomans. .

We need a credit of 14 thousand billion to complete the projects

One of the actions of the Ministry of Sports during the past year was to conduct provincial trips, prevent new pickpocketing and complete half-finished projects in sports. Kalher said: Usually, three categories of actions are followed during the provincial trips of the Minister of Sports and his deputies; Completing the half-completed projects of large stadiums, completing multi-purpose halls, and constructing and completing artificial grass are on the agenda, and in provincial trips, credit is allocated for these three axes, and according to the priority of the Ministry of Sports, to prevent new projects from being picked up and the completion of half-completed projects. Almost a large part of the projects that have 80-90% progress have been completed during this period. Completion of sports projects in all areas, according to the announcement of the Minister of Sports, requires approximately 14 thousand billion tomans of credit so that we can say that all half-finished projects have been completed. Another goal of provincial trips is to resolve issues related to provincial delegations, which sometimes face legal challenges and some internal disputes, and this presence resolves issues. Another axis of provincial trips is related to the development and support of public and rural sports.

Privatization of the Magpies will help the health of football

Regarding the entry of Maghrabis into the stock market, which was one of the other important actions of the government in the last one year, Kalhor said: This was a great achievement, and after years of waiting, with the decision of the government and the ministry standing by this decision, the Maghrabis entered the stock market, and the first fruit of this happened. It was to clarify the contracts of the players so that the minimum overall figure of the contracts will be announced and we hope that the details of the contracts will also be clarified. After all, it is the shareholders' right to know what is happening. I hope that the privatization of Esteghlal and Persepolis will help the transparency and health of football. Perhaps one of the ways to overcome major football challenges is that our 2 important clubs entered the stock market and their shares are available to the public, the first step of which was the transparency of contracts, which helps to monitor and conclude better contracts.

Broadcasting and environmental advertising is a big step towards becoming a professional

In response to the Federation Football League's agreement to grant environmental advertisements to the clubs and the Magyars' acceptance of this, he said: This issue is one of the things that helps both the professionalization and income generation of clubs and the maintenance of sports facilities. As you know, more than 4-5 decades have passed since the life of Azadi Stadium and despite the high volume of competitions that are held in this complex, very few resources were allocated for its reconstruction, repair and maintenance. Allocating a part of the amount of contracts related to environmental advertising helped to maintain and repair sports facilities. Clubs could also earn significant income from environmental advertising. Of course, since it is the first years, there are differences between the contracted figure and the obtained figure, but this way has started and has now become a procedure, and if the issue of broadcasting rights is added to environmental advertising, it will be a big step for the professionalization of clubs, especially We have taken football clubs.

We are witnessing great developments in the field of youthfulness in sports

Regarding the actions taken in the direction of youthfulness in sports, Kalhor also said: The Council of Deputy Ministers of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, compared to other ministries, this ministry is one of the few institutions whose deputies are young, and in fact, the Minister of Sports, among his colleagues, promotes the slogan of youthism. has implemented The second point is that we are sports and youth, and one of the main priorities and missions of our youth deputy is to provide opportunities for political and social participation of youth, and the most important is the opportunity to be in governance positions in executive bodies rather than the opportunity to use force. Have youth to provide services. Friends have approved a plan by the Supreme Council of Youth and the idea of a young assistant is being pursued, and I think that if the statistics of the actions taken in the last 8 months are published, we will see great developments regarding the number of young people who have entered the executive body. Of course, we have a bigger horizon in mind.

Ashleigh Buhai makes history at Muirfield, becomes first SA woman since Sally Little to win a major

South Africa's Ashleigh Buhai survived a disastrous 15th hole to claim a "life-changing" victory in a marathon playoff against Chun In-gee in the Women's Open at Muirfield on Sunday.

Both players tied on 10 under par after 72 holes, and, in near total darkness, it was Buhai who eventually secured the final major of the season with a par four at the fourth extra hole, the 18th.

Chun bunkered her drive and took five, while Buhai got up and down from a greenside bunker, holing out from two feet for victory.

Buhai made history by becoming only the third South African woman to win a major golf championship.

Golf Hall of famer Sally Little won the Women's PGA Championship in 1980 and the 1988 Du Maurier Classic, which was a women's major from 1979 until 2000. Alison Sheard also won the Women's Open in 1979 at Southport and Ainsdale Golf Club.

Buhai was close to tears as husband David rushed onto the green and gave her a kiss and a loving hug.

"It's been a lot of hard work over many years," said the 33-year-old, who won the first of three South African Amateur titles when she was just 14.

Her professional career has never quite hit the same heights with three wins in Europe and two South African Opens. But she had never won an LPGA title until now, and a major at that to make it even more special.

Five ahead overnight, she had to survive a triple-bogey seven at the 15th - that dragged her back into a tie with Chun - before snatching the dramatic playoff win.

"I'm very proud of myself," she continued. "I had to dig deep. But I was surprisingly calm in the play-off. Just tried to stay in the moment.

"Before I hit the bunker shot in the play-off, my caddie (Tanya Paterson) said 'show them why you are ranked No.1 in bunkers this year'. It was great to do it."

Gary Player (1959) and Ernie Els (2002), Buhai's hero growing up, are South African winners of the Open Championship at Muirfield.

Magnanimous Chun

"I am so proud to join them as major winners at Muirfield," Buhai continued.

"It really is going to be life-changing."

Chun was magnanimous in defeat.

The winner of three majors, including this year's Women's PGA Championship, said: "I never gave up, and gave it may all."

The 27-year-old Korean added: "Ashleigh played a brilliant bunker shot and she deserved it. I am very happy for her."

Buhai had looked in total control when she led by three shots with just four to play.

But she drove into a bunker at the 15th, hit out sideways into rough and then moved the ball just a few yards with her third shot on the way to a triple-bogey seven.

Now tied for the lead, she did well to par the final three holes for a 75 that matched Chun's 10-under par total. The Korean closed with a round of 70.

Japan's Hinako Shibuno, the 2019 winner, finished third on nine under after a final round 71.

American teenager Rose Zhang won the Smyth Salver for the leading amateur. She closed with a 73 for one over par.

Buhai's victory was also South Africa's first major - men and women - since Ernie Els' 2012 Open win at Royal Lytham & St Annes.

The two other South Africans in the field made the cut: Paula Reto finished tied for 58th and Lee-Ann Pace ended 65th.
